Mira Seisembayeva / Mai Willes is a Berlin based filmmaker and art director from Kazakhstan.

With the background in Fashion Photography (UAL:LCF) and Documentary Filmmaking (MetFilmSchoolBerlin) the Almaty-born filmmaker’s artistry transfuses between different visual forms and mediums. Being half-Kazakh, half-Korean the topics of Place, Identity and Representation are of utter importance to her storytelling. She tends to explore the subject rather than to find definitive answers. Whether it is documentary, commercial or personal projects, her artistic vision is unified by experimental, expressive and contemporary styles.
